This Town Is Small at The Arts Guild

111 Queen Street
Charlottetown, PE

this town is small is pleased to present fanatics, an exhibition by peake street collective

Artists are passionate people and their work is informed by the ideas, objects and experiences they value. Have you ever wondered about the deep dives your favourite Island artist takes on snow days when the power stays on? Are you curious about the collections they maintain, their hobbies, or the bands they can’t seem to get enough of? If so, you will not want to miss Fanatics!

Members of Peake Street Collective have created new works which explore their private passions: the things they love, their obsessions, their fascinations and secret devotions. This exhibition is an exploration of the quirky obsessions that make them who they are, whether extraordinary or mundane.

about peake street:

Peake Street Collective is a mentorship wing of This Town Is Small that provides low-barrier exhibition opportunities and mentorship for artists. Through one-on-one mentorship and annual thematic exhibitions, the program supports artists at all stages of their practice, welcoming participants on a first-come, first-served basis regardless of experience.

We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, the City of Charlottetown, and Innovation PEI through the PEI Culture Action Plan.
