innovation pei and this town is small are pleased to present an exhibition highlighting the latest acquisitions from the pei art bank collection
The works features in this exhibition represent the acquisitions made for the PEI Art Bank collection in 2025. Selected by a Peer Assessment Committee, the purchased artworks range from paintings and photography to sculptural and mixed media works. These contemporary pieces demonstrate the knowledge, craftmanship and artistic skills of professional artists and creators living and working on the Island.
Following this exhibition, the works will be displayed in the receptions, libraries, health centers, and other high traffic areas of public spaces and in provincial government buildings across Prince Edward Island.
The PEI Art Bank collection was established in 1979 to support and encourage visual artists living in Prince Edward Island. The works of art in the collection represent the artistic diversity of Island artists working across the visual arts. The collection encourages artistic excellence, stimulates awareness and appreciation in visual arts, and preserves a history of art making in the province for present and future generations.
