This group exhibition displays the final independent artwork of the 2026 Charlottetown Rural and Colonel Gray Grade 12 art classes. This show is a collaborative venture encompassing approx. 30 students, each presenting an independently developed art piece that explores their interests. Students have been working to develop their artwork throughout their high school careers and in the last few weeks of their final semester have sought to create their own young masterpieces.
This exhibition affords an opportunity not just to showcase the artwork of dedicated, young artists, but also to bring together these graduates from two different schools, to celebrate their accomplishments together. The artwork ranges through a variety of mediums; from sculpture, to painting, to sketchbook work, and over a variety of subject matters. These works demonstrate the students' own investigations into their personal interests and passions in the world of art.
We thank the City of Charlottetown, Innovation PEI through the PEI Culture Action Plan, and the Canada Council for the Arts for their generous support.
